A loan of $250 helped to purchase a mobile phone and a solar charging set so that she may provide vital farming information to her community.

Bridget's story

Bridget is 26 years old, married with three children. She earns her income through the sale of crops and profits from her small business. She grows coffee, maize, vegetables and tomatoes. She also has chickens and a goat.

Bridget looks forward to becoming a Community Knowledge Worker (CKW). As a CKW she will use the materials in her business-in-a-box (smartphone and solar charging set) to disseminate vital agricultural information to the other members of her village, helping them to improve their crop yields and increase their incomes.

With the additional money she will earn as a CKW, Bridget will expand her small business. Her biggest dream in life is to have her own farm produce store in her community.
