A loan of $700 helped purchase of flour.

Mukaddas's story

Mukaddas has been engaged in baking bread for over 12 years. She is married and has three children.

After her children became old enough to go to school, the family was in need of additional income. The salary that her husband has earned was not enough. She started baking bread at home in very small volume, mostly for her neighbors. Since her bread was very tasty the demand and number of customers was growing. She invested most of the profit in equipping one of the rooms in her house into a bakery. She also invested her previous loans into that.

Currently she has 3 employees and now she does not bake bread for the market but mainly bakes it by orders for weddings and other events. This way she makes more expensive, high-quality bread and that brings more profit. She will use her next loan to buy a bigger volume of flour.
