A loan of $1,500 helped to buy sewing material, clothes and footwear.

Sindiso's story

Greetings from Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabwe. Sindiso is 52 years old and married with three children, one of whom is still in school. She also takes care of two grandchildren. For the last 14 years, Sindiso has been sewing tracksuits and school uniforms and run two retail shops selling clothing and footwear. She has six employees to assist her. Her main challenge has been limited working capital which has made it difficult to meet customer needs. Sindiso has requested a $1,500 loan to buy sewing material, clothing and footwear. She says the income generated as a result of this loan will assist in meeting day to day household expenses. In the near future, Sindiso plans on operating more retail shops in town and possible in nearby rural areas.
