A loan of $750 helped to purchase laptop bags and satchels for resale.

Millicent's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 39-year-old Millicent from Harare. She is married with three children, one who attends school.

Millicent runs a retail business selling clothes. The business has been in operation for five years. She says the main challenge she faces are restrictions on the import quantities at the border posts, which forces them to import only a few items. This is not conducive for business considering the costs incurred in travelling.

Millicent has requested a loan of $750 (USD) to buy laptop bags and satchels for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to increase her stock and boost profits, which will assist her in paying school fees for her child.

In the future, Millicent plans to own a shop selling ladies and kids wear. She is grateful to Kiva for their assistance.
