A loan of $1,500 helped a member to restock the out of stock items in the grocery store.


Mapendo Tukuyu Group's story

Emanuel, who is in his early thirties, is single with no children. He has been running a grocery store for six months now. He works from 7:00 am to 12:00 am daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be Emanuel's first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He will use his loan to restock the out of stock items in the grocery store. He dreams of opening a bigger grocery, like a supermarket.

Emanuel will share this loan with his loan group, Mapendo Tukuyu, which has ten members. They will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
