A loan of $1,150 helped to purchase more wax-printed cotton fabric for resale.

Hawa's story

Hawa is 42 years old and married with 6 children. She runs a clothing material business in Masuba, Northern Sierra Leone.

She has been in this business since 1995 and sells different types of wax-printed cotton fabric within a busy market area. Her business is the only source of income she has. She says that the main challenge to her business is the high cost of transportation.

Hawa requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more wax-printed cotton fabric for resale. She says that the extra income generated by this loan will help her educate her children and grow her business. In the future, she would like to expand her business even more.
