Shura's story

Shura, 60 years old, lives in a small village in the Senaki district with her husband, son and his family. The family runs an agricultural business. In particular, they have 2 cows and a calf. Shura milks the cows every day and produces cheese to sell locally. In addition, they have a plot of agricultural land, where they grow maize and nut trees.

Shura is experienced in making enamel jewelry and she wants to open a workshop. The Start Up program, which is a joint initiative of Kiva and Credo, enables her to get a loan of 3,500 GEL. She will use the loan to open a workshop and will get orders to make enamel jewelry. Shura will sell the produced jewelry and increase the family income.
