A loan of $1,350 helped to purchase more household commodities.

Joseph's story

Joseph is 40 years old and lives in the town of Kireka in the Kampala region of Uganda. He is married and has 5 children, with 3 of them currently in school. For the past 20 years, Joseph has been working hard to manage his retail shop, which sells household commodities.

To help expand his business, Joseph has requested a loan of 3,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more household commodities, and will help Joseph to generate greater profits and have a large profit margin. Joseph hopes that, in the future, he will be able to diversify the business.
