A loan of $1,000 helped to buy grocery products for resale.

Emmercentiana's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 44-year-old Emmercentiana from Harare. She is married with three children, two of whom are attending school. She also cares for two other dependents. Emmercentiana runs a retail business selling a variety of grocery products. The business has been in operation for five years. She says the main challenge she faces is pricing competition from other players who do not pay licenses. Emmercentiana has requested a loan of $1,000 to buy grocery products for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to increase her profits, which will enable her to buy her own motor vehicle. Emmercentiana also wishes to construct a durawall(Security wall) and she hopes that the increase in business profits will improve her ability to pay university fees for her child. In the future, Emmercentiana plans to operate a self-sustaining project where eggs will be produced.
