Mahammad's story

Mahammad is 32 years old. He is married and has two daughters. His wife is a housekeeper. Mahammad ’s family is IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) and they have lived in an IDP settlement for a long time.

Mahammad earns money by growing fruits and vegetables, and selling them at the local bazaar. He has nine years of experience in this area. The monthly income is 230 AZN.

There is high demand for fruits and vegetables. Every day people use them in preparing different kinds of fruit juice, jam and vegetable salads. People buy from private gardens because food there is cheaper than in the markets.

Mahammad wants to make his family’s life better, and he especially wants to provide for his daughters' future. He applied for 700 AZN loan in order to buy more fertilizers and fruit tree seeds to increase his income.
