A loan of $400 helped to purchase construction tools.

Daniel Elias's story

Helping construct the "country of eternal spring" [Guatemala's nickname], 32-year-old Daniel is a single father of a boy who is just barely 5 months old. This has become his most important challenge because he needs to work hard each day to give his family a good future and ensure an education for his little boy.

He mainly works in construction in his community. When he was a child, he decided to learn to build houses in his community, which he has done for 9 long years full of sacrifice but also full of pride because he does it for his family. They need a source of income to cover the cost of the family's necessities and for the sake of the development of the community in which he lives.

He wants to use this loan to purchase construction tools, because it is important to him and without these tools he won't be able to continue working in construction in his community.

One of Daniel's greatest dreams is to see his son grow and to give him an education so that he can become a professional and start a construction business in service to his community and its future development.
