A loan of $900 helped to buy sweets and jiggies for resale.

Phillip's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 37-year-old Phillip from Gweru. He is married with two children, both attending school. He runs a retail business selling maputi, sweets, jiggies and foam rubber. The business has been in operation for three years. He says the main challenge being faced is working capital limitations. He has requested a loan of $900 to buy sweets and jiggies for resale. He says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow him to improve their standard of living as a family. In the future he plans to open a proper shop and provide wholesale service of his wares to other vendors.
