A loan of $825 helped she'll buy two dozen bottles of cologne, six hand creams, eight lip pencils, etc.

Nora Ysabel's story

Mrs. Nora belongs to the Pastaza Community Bank, located at Av. Aviación Mz. B Lt. 1 in the Callería district of the Coronel Portillo province in the department of Ucayali. Nora is 38 years old and the mother of two young children who depend on her. She's married and her husband has his own business. Nora used her first loan of 300 soles that she received from Manuela Ramos to invest in a food sales business. She has been working with the Community Bank for five years. Now Nora sells beauty products (EBEL) as well as food. Because she has recently had some health issues, Nora has decreased the number days that she sells food. With this loan of 2,500 soles, Nora will buy two dozen bottles of cologne, six hand creams, eight lip pencils, and others. Thanks to Manuela Ramos, Nora's family's economic stability has improved, and she'll have the opportunity to support her small children.
