Zhamila's story

Zhamila is 74 years old, married and has five children. Zhamila is retired, but she carries on raising and selling livestock to provide income for her family. She started this business in 1994 with a purchase of 4 sheep. Thanks to Zhamila's hard work, she now has 15 sheep and one cow. Her monthly income is approximately 15,000 som (KGS). In order to expand her business, Zhamila turned to the bank of Bai Tushum for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS) to purchase additional sheep. Zhamila is planning to use the money in order to expand her business and to make repairs on her house.
