A loan of $1,350 helped to buy more clothing to sell.

Seth's story

Seth is 42 years old and lives in the town of Kisekende in the Mubende region of Uganda. She is married and has two children who are both currently in school. For the past four years, Seth has been working hard to manage her clothing shop, where she sells clothes and garments.

To help expand her business, Seth has requested a loan of 3,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more garments and clothes and will help Seth to generate greater profits and improve her stock. Seth hopes that in the future, she will be able to open another shop.

Seth is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Seth who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
