A loan of $500 helped to purchase stock items to increase her inventory.

Rumbidzai's story

Rumbidzai resides in Chiredzi District, Zimbabwe. She has been volunteering as a Camfed Learner Guide, teaching life skills education in local schools to improve the well being of students by enhancing their learning environment.

In addition, Rumbidzai rents a table at the local flea market where she sells hand bags, shoes, jeans, shirts, skirts, track suits, and T-shirts. She has run this business for the past year and it has enabled her to support her family.

With the Kiva loan, Rumbidzai will purchase stock to increase her inventory. Her hope is to grow the business and open her own store. This will bring stability to her business and will enable her to provide for her family’s basic needs.
