A loan of $700 helped to purchase fabric to sew skirts.

Isdore's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 46-year-old Isdore from Harare. He is married, with one child who attends school.

Isdore runs a clothing business, making skirts. The business has been in operation for 11 years. He says the main challenge faced is frequent power cuts, which hinders him from doing his work on-time since his machines use electricity.

Isdore has requested a loan of USD 700 to buy fabric material to make skirts. He says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow him to increase profits, which will assist him as he is building a house in one of the local suburbs.

In the future, Isdore plans to be one of the largest suppliers of skirts in the country. He is grateful and appreciates the low interest rates being offered by Kiva.
