Margaret's story

Wonderful Lenders! Margaret is a very honest, hardworking and dedicated farmer who is 56 years of age and hails from the Kerugoya area of Kenya, an area known to have the best weather patterns that favor crops and animal farming. Margaret has so much experience in farming, and having done farming for the past 23 years, she is considered as one of the best farmers in her village. Margaret's primary source of income is milk selling, egg selling, and crop farming.

Margaret is a very dedicated dairy farmer, and she has nicknamed her cows “Osama and Ndune” (name of a person). Margaret has space on her farm that is unused, and she wants to use the space through keeping more dairy cows. That is why she is kindly seeking a loan to buy a dairy cow. Through the loan, Margaret is going to improve her living conditions and also improve the conditions of her six children by providing them with a solid education because education is the “key to success”.

Kerugoya has a ready market for milk, and also the population is high. Hence, Margaret will not have a problem selling the milk and increasing her income level.

Margaret is very disciplined with finances and she is sure that through accumulated profits, she will open a large dairy shop and be able to pay the loan on time.
