A loan of $1,500 helped to buy a cow and agricultural supplies.

Luis Alonso's story

Luis, 49, is a hardworking man who had to work since he was very young. He could only study up to the second grade due to the civil war. He is married. His wife works as a housewife and he has seven children, but only four live with him because the rest migrated to the United States.

Luis works in agriculture. He grows corn and sorghum and has cows that give him and his family milk and other products. His father taught him these activities.

He needs a loan to buy a cow. He will use the remainder to buy agricultural supplies such as fertilizers and pesticides. With this help, he will be able to invest and improve his financial situation.

His dream is to own a cattle ranch together with his family and be able to sustain it.
