A loan of $500 helped to purchase kapenta, cremora and soya mince.

Angella's story

As a volunteer Camfed Learner Guide in the Hurungwe District of Zimbabwe, Angella, a 21-year-old woman, teaches life skills to young students at the nearby school.

Angella also runs her own business selling food items at a grocery stall. She is interested in obtaining a Kiva loan because she would like to purchase kapenta (dried sardines), cremora (non-dairy creamer), and soya mince (beef substitute) to sell to community members. Angella hopes that her business will prosper and she will be able to open her own store. If her business expands, it will be more stable and she will be able to provide for her family’s basic needs more easily.
