Lumuuno's story

Luumuno is a 19-year-old entrepreneur who operates a flea market in the Binga District of Zimbabwe. For the past three months, Luumuno has been selling clothes, handbags, and baby blankets. She also voluntarily delivers counseling sessions on peer pressure as a Camfed Learner Guide. With the Kiva loan, Luumuno plans to purchase more clothes from wholesalers to sell at the flea market at lower costs. That way, she can sell the clothes at competitive prices and attract more customers. With the anticipated profits, Luumuno would like to further her education and train as a nurse. She would like to become a role model in her community.
