A loan of $500 helped to make bulk purchases of groceries from wholesalers.

Prisca's story

Prisca is a 20-year-old businesswoman. She lives in the Matobo District of Zimbabwe. She has been successfully operating a small shop selling snacks, cotton wool, sugar, salt, and cooking oil. She also volunteers as a Learner Guide who delivers "My Better World" sessions in her local secondary school teaching students life skills. With the requested loan she intends to make bulk purchases of groceries from wholesalers where the costs are lower. This would help her increase sales and profit levels. With the additional income, she hopes to build her own shop, reduce costs on rentals, and create even more employment in her community.
