A loan of $500 helped to purchase more broiler chicks and chick feed.

Memory's story

Memory is a 24-year-old, married businesswoman from the Wedza District of Zimbabwe. She spends her time volunteering as a Camfed Learner Guide by teaching life skills to secondary school students. She also runs a poultry business, producing 100 broiler birds every six weeks and selling them to local residents. She started her business to become financially independent, and she hopes to see other young women in her community prosper like she has.

With a Kiva loan, Memory will purchase more broiler chicks and chick feed to increase production. She intends to become a supplier to major supermarkets one day.
