A loan of $4,500 helped a member to buy milk, sugar, oil, and rice.

Las Palmeras De Cocabambilla Group's story

The members belong to the communal bank "Las Palmeras de Cocabambilla". This bank is located in the Quillabamba district, in the province of La Convencion and department of Cusco.

One member is Señora Teresa; she is married, 39 years old, and has two children. Teresa works in her grocery business. She sells basic items like rice, sugar, milk, and oil, and works from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. She has already spent one year in this business and it is going well. Her dream is to expand her grocery business. Teresa is asking for a loan in order to buy milk, sugar, oil, and rice.

The other members make a living in various businesses that sell coffee, fruit, groceries, and food.

Teresa is grateful to those who form a part of this dream through these means, and she promises to complete her repayments in the established time period.
