A loan of $1,000 helped to buy more tires of different brands to sell to her customers.

María De Los Ángeles's story

Upon entering María’s business, numerous tires cover her office as if they were works of art that adorn her place. The smell of rubber fills the room, and María instantly has a friendly smile.

She is 50 years old, and she sells tires. She is married and has three independent children. At the start of these 12 productive years she undertook her own business selling used tires at retail. She found an opportunity and took the risk in spite of not having gone to the university.

She is now a wholesale vendor at the eastern market. María has help from her sister, her son-in-law, and some remittances sent to her. She dreams of taking her products to different fairs in the country so that people know her and that she brings quality material.

In order to do so, she needs to invest more in her business. That is why she is requesting a loan to buy more tires of different brands in order to vary her products. Her plans are always to get ahead with her family and to make her business grow. Therefore, she will keep investing in it.
