Juan De Dios's story

Juan is 45 years old. He is the owner of a neighborhood store where he sells lunches, groceries, beverages, juices, dairy products, etc. His main customers are the women who are housewives who make meals every day for their families and who buy a little at a time according to their husbands' or even their own daily income. He started his commercial activity 14 years ago. He acquired experience since the time he was very young working as an employee in some stores, until finally he was offered a chance to buy a store and that's what he did and since then he hasn't stopped. He has a commercial locale where he sells every day from 6 in the morning until 9 at night every day of the week. His goal for the future is to expand his locale and remodel the house where he lives with his spouse and his 8 year old son. His biggest challenge is to gain his customers' loyalty with competitive prices and good service. Right now, he is applying for a Kiva loan, the first loan he is taking out with the Fundación Mario Santo Domino. With it he will buy beverages, dairy products, meats, vegetables and fruits in order to increase his sales and his profits, making his Kiva loan a successful investment.
