A loan of $175 helped to purchase more palm oil, cassava and general stock for resale.

Tenneh's story

Meet Tenneh. She is 30 years old. She is from Lunsar, Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with two children. In 2005, Tenneh established her retail business. She began her business because she wanted to improve her standard of living. She works at the business 11 hours per day, six days per week. She says that her business is doing well.

Tenneh requires a loan in order to purchase more palm oil, cassava and general stock for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to improve her family's status of living and increase her business. Seemingly distinct businesses are often mixed in Sierra Leone, the idea being that a customer will come to purchase one thing but will leave having purchased another. In the future, Tenneh plans to expand her business even more. She thanks you for your support.
