A loan of $200 helped to purchase more power juice, biscuits and chocolate for resale.

Fatmata's story

Meet Fatmata. She is 32 years old. She is from Lunsar, Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with one child. In 2002, Fatmata established her retail business. She began her business because she wants to improve her standard of living. She works at the business 11 hours per day, six days per week. She says that her business is doing well.

Fatmata requires a loan in order to purchase more power juice, biscuits and chocolate for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to improve her family's status of living and increase her business. Seemingly distinct businesses are often mixed in Sierra Leone, the idea being that a customer will come to purchase one thing but will leave having purchased another. In the future, Fatmata plans to expand her business more than even. She thanks you for your support.
