A loan of $850 helped a member to buy more grocery items to resell.

Chea's Group's story

Chea is aged 52 years and married. She lives with her husband and six children in a rural area located in the Sangke district, Cambodia. She has been selling grocery items for 11 years. The current business earns her family about 100,000 KHR per day to feed the family but she manages to save about 20,000 KHR each day.

This is the first loan for Chea with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now she is leading her group to ask for a loan. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy more grocery items to resale. She hopes to make more income from her current business.
