Tinashe

A loan of $1,500 helped to buy more groceries to sell.

Tinashe's story

This is 31-year-old Tinashe from Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, which means “he who does not sleep". He is divorced with two children, with one child attending school. Tinashe runs a retail business selling groceries. The business has been in operation for five years. He says his main challenge is the stiff competition in the area. Tinashe has requested a loan of 1,500 USD. He wants to buy sugar, cooking oil and other grocery items. He says the extra income generated as a result of this loan, will allow him to increase his returns, thereby allowing him to meet household expenses. In the future, Tinashe plans to build his own shop.
