A loan of $500 helped to purchase more groceries to sell.

Sinikiwe's story

Sinikiwe is a 19-year-old businesswoman from the Mudzi District of Zimbabwe. She has been successfully operating a grocery shop for over 15 months. Sinikwe started supplying sugar, cooking oil, rice, flour, and soap to her community after she realized there was a ready market for those items. Sinikiwe also volunteers as a Learner Guide each week at a local secondary school. With the requested loan, Sinikiwe intends to make bulk purchases of sugar, cooking oil, and rice to reduce costs and boost her sales and profits. She hopes to expand into a large retail shop and create even more employment opportunities in her community and to provide for her family.
