Shingirai's story

Shingirai, age 23, lives in the Wedza District of Zimbabwe. She serves as a peer educator in her community and a Camfed Learner Guide at the local secondary school. Shingirai has been operating a grocery shop successfully for more than a year. She works with her family and with the assistance of her husband. She supplies the community with sugar, rice, tea, stationary, sanitary items, cooking oil, and potato chips. With the Kiva loan, Shingirai intends to make bulk purchases to reduce her costs and increase sales volume and profits.
