Channel Group's story

Mary, a businesswoman and mother of four children (one son and three daughters), is aged 40. One of Mary's children is in school while the rest are grown and have businesses like their mother.

Mary is married and she now supports her family with two businesses. Mary own a brick-making machine and has a few helpers who make those bricks for selling. She also sells woods from the same place. Working from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily and is able to make a good profit each month.

She is requesting her first credit via Kiva field partner, Tujijenge Tanzania. She will use this credit to buy stock of cement for making bricks. Mary dreams of growing her business (to become a successful businesswoman). Mary and the other four members of Channel group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
