Marbel's story

Marbel is 27 years old. She lives with her spouse and her two-year-old son in the city of Barranquilla. In Barranquilla she was dedicated to working in general sales for four years until she decided to follow the footsteps of her aunt. Her aunt traveled to a neighboring country in search of opportunities to purchase items at competitive prices to offer to her clients who she gained little by little and who today are her best purchasers. Marbel completes her sales on credit and subsequently recovers the capital she invests on a daily basis so that she can buy what her new clients seek in cash. Currently, Marbel is applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing made through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation which she will use to purchase clothing, personal hygiene supplies and shoes. With this money she will have the opportunity to purchase more merchandise, to obtain more profits selling them, and increase her working capital which will result in a success for Kiva.
