Antoine, who works in retail, is the coordinator of the "Tet Fret de Dumas 1, 2, 3 & 4" group. He lives in the Dumas region of Haiti where electricity is scarce and access to water very limited. He has been running his own business, selling charcoal and various other products, for the past 13 years.

Before he started in this business, Antoine used to be a student. He would now like to use his loan to buy charcoal, shoes, clothes and various other products. He is hoping that this loan will help him to grow his business. The group's other members also need a loan in order to operate their own food, cosmetics and charcoal businesses.

Antoine says that his main ambition and his dream are to gather enough money to acquire a major business, through God's grace.

Antoine est le coordinateur de son groupe Tet Fret de Dumas 1, 2, 3 & 4. Il est un commercant. Il habite dans la région de Dumas où de l’électricité est rare et de l’eau est très limité. Antoine a dirigé son commerce de produit divers et charbon pendant 13 années.

Avant de commencer ce commerce, Antoine était un Etudiant. Antoine voudrait utiliser cet emprunt pour investir dans le charbon, chaussures, vetement, et divers produit. Il espère que cet emprunt l’aidera à agrandir son business. Des autres membres militant ont besoin d’un emprunt pour tels commerces comme nourriture, cosmetiques, charbon, etc. Antoine dit que son but principal et son rêve c'est possède un gros business avec son fond et par la grâce de Dieu.

This loan is designed for a borrower or group of borrowers in Haiti. Esperanza is one of the few MFIs currently working in the northeast region of the country. Through lending, the organization aims to stimulate economic growth and opportunity in a country that has suffered debilitating crises, including political instability, natural disasters and poverty. Esperanza lends primarily to groups of women who cross-guarantee each other's loans. They also receive financial literacy courses and health services. 

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
