A loan of $525 helped to purchase corn, wood, lime and bags.

Silvia Elizabeth's story

Silvia is single and lives with her parents. Her father is dedicated to the harvest of basic grains. Her mother supports him in helping with his business; she started making and selling tortillas, and with sacrifice, she saved enough to buy a nixtamal mill. Today she works in both activities in order to have income, which helps to support her parents with family expenses. She works from six in the morning until two in the afternoon. In order to have raw materials for the sale of tortillas and to save by purchasing products at wholesale, she is requesting financing that will she will use to purchase corn, wood, lime and bags. She hopes to have a good margin in profits with which she can improve her financial situation and provide unconditional support to her parents. Her dream is to have the financial resources to expand her home and improve her business.
