Djromahouton Group's story

The DJROMAHOUTON group is made up of three women who all live in the same neighborhood. The group's representative, named Lucrèce Gbèdodé, is the woman raising her hand in the photo. Lucrèce Gbèdodé attended school up to the secondary level. She is 24 years old and married. She and her husband have three children, some of whom are in school. All three children are their financial dependents. Lucrèce Gbèdodé lives with her husband and children. The couple jointly takes care of the various expenses of the household. Lucrèce Gbèdodé has been selling maize and firewood in her region for almost eight years now. She buys her goods at a market located in Benin. In order to increase her stock of merchandise, and to better meet her customers' demand, Lucrèce Gbèdodé is taking a loan, along with the other members of the DJROMAHOUTON group.
