Mahoulome 7 Group's story

The MAHOULOME 7 group is made up of three women who all live in the same neighborhood. The group's representative, named Mireille, is the woman raising her hand in the photo. It is the third time that this group is requesting financial support from ALIDé, in order to raise their level of activity. Mireille is 33 years old and married to a carpenter named Innocent. The couple has four children, some of whom are in school. All four children are their financial dependents. Mireille lives with her husband and children. Mireille and Innocent jointly take care of the various expenses of the household. In order to contribute to the family's various needs, Mireille has been selling fabrics and shoes through the distribution system, for fifteen years. She buys her goods at a market in Benin. She is passionate about her job, and thanks to her activity, she is able to provide for her family and to meet her own needs as well. In order to boost her business and to better meet her customers' demand, Mireille is requesting a third loan from ALIDé, along with the other members of the MAHOULOME 7 group. The group's previous loans have all been duly repaid.
