A loan of $850 helped a member to buy fabric and sewing supplies.

Mahoukpehou Group's story

"Mahoukpehou" is a group of three people whose members live in the same area. The group leader, Faustin (whose hand is raised in the photo), is 51 years old and married to a retailer named Albertine. The couple have six children, all in school and in their care. Faustin attended school up to the primary level but then trained to be a tailor, which is a profession he has practiced for 32 years. On the side, he also sews shirts that he sells through the distribution system. Faustin gets his supplies at a city in Benin. This is the fifth time Faustin and the other members of the Mahoukpehou group are seeking financial support from ALIDÉ with the goal of strengthening their working capital and better responding to the demands of their clientele. The previous loans were repaid properly.
