A loan of $1,050 helped to buy two young bulls and a cow.

Marisol's story

Marisol, 43, studied up to the eighth grade. Her parents no longer had the economic resources to be able to give her a better education. She has a companion, who works in agriculture, and a son.

Marisol has worked in agriculture since the age of 15 because her parents were farmers. Currently she has worked for 15 years as a domestic worker. She's a woman with a lot of ideals and a great desire to improve herself in life.

She'll invest her loan in buying two young bulls and a cow. That way she'll have another source of income next year, because she'll be able to sell them at a better price with the help of her husband, who will be responsible for taking care of the bovines.

Marisol dreams of improving her house, which has a dirt floor and holes in the metal sheets where the water comes in when it's rainy. In addition, she wants to keep on working to have more cattle and improve her quality of life.
