Sandra is 40 years old and lives in Nacional, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental. She is married, with four children now at their school and infant ages.
Sandra is has been engaged in managing a boarding house and a motor wash business for four years already, and earns approximately PHP6,000 each month doing this type of business activity.
She has requested a loan to be used in purchasing a sidecar to be attached for her motorcycle for hire.
Sandra has been a member of PMPC for almost three years. In the future, Sandra hopes to expand her boarding house and motor wash business.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
