A loan of $1,625 helped to buy a motorcycle, an electric grinder and corn.

Omaira Maria's story

Omaira is a woman who, like many, acquired her business knowledge thanks to her parents. She makes a living producing and selling arepas, an activity she learned when she was very young. She took over the family business twenty years ago, and now at 40 years old, she maintains it.

She wants to begin to better formalize the business, since she had never had the help of an entity to provide money to grow her business. She wants a loan, which she will invest in the purchase of a motorcycle with which she will generate work. She will use it to distribute her arepas.

She also wants to buy an electric grinder to reduce the time and effort of production. The rest she would invest in supplies to make a greater number of areas daily, since she would have a way to distribute them.

Her greatest dream is to see her business and her children grow.
