A loan of $1,500 helped to expand her hardware store and thus come one step closer to achieving her dream.

Carla's story

Carla is a 27 year old woman. She is single and the mother of two children. Her business is a hardware store that she owns and runs from Monday to Sunday. She is a smiling, cheerful person who knows a lot about her business and always finds solutions for her clients' requests. Her business is located in ‘Plan 3000’, a 30 minute drive from the city of Santa Cruz. It is characterized by humidity and high temperatures all year round.

Every day, she gets up very early in the morning and goes to where she stores her products. She picks up her boxes and she sets up her sales stall in the market in her neighborhood. She dreams of someday having her own store with a roof and she thinks that in order to obtain this goal, she needs to increase her sales and expand her business now. The costs of her children require Carla to work without much rest, limiting the time she spends on the well being and health of her and her family. That is why Carla is asking for a loan to expand her hardware business and thus come one step closer to achieving her dream.
