Miguel Angel's story

Miguel Angel comes from a household with separated parents. He lives in Lima with his mother and his sister, who is the only one who supports the household expenses, working as a permanent salesperson, since his mother is a housewife and his father doesn't help with anything.

Miguel Angel works as a casual employee, driving a motorcycle taxi, and with what he earns, he pays his transportation expenses to the institute where he studies maintenance of heavy machinery, a course that he hopes to be able to complete with the help of the Kiva lenders to be able to become a professional. He has the dream of finishing his studies and being able to acquire experience working for a large business so that in the future he can open his own workshop, which will allow him to help his mother and his sister.

Now he is in the middle of his course and he needs the economic help of the Kiva lenders to be able to complete it, since he doesn't have the means necessary to be able to cover the costs.

Miguel Angel is very grateful to the Kiva lenders for helping talented youth such as himself to reach their dreams through access to education, since with this they are changing their lives for the better.
