Jesutogbe 1 Group's story

The group known as JESUTOGBE 1 is made up of nine persons who live in the same neighborhood. The leader of the group, Jeanne, has her hand raised in the photo and is 41. She was not able to attend school. She is a widow and the mother of four children, all enrolled in school and her dependents.

Jeanne lives with her children and supports them thanks to the income she earns from her business. In order to cover her various household expenses, Jeanne sells fresh fish and frozen foods through the distribution system and also on foot. Jeanne has been in this business for 15 years and buys her supplies in Benin. In order to cater for the demand of her ever-growing clientele and earn more profit, Jeanne is asking, together with the other members of the group known as JESUTOGBE 1, for a first loan from ALIDé.
