Mahoudjlo Group's story

The group MAHOUDJLO consists of three people who live in the same neighborhood. Their representative is Clémentine, the member whose hand is raised in the photo. The group members are seeking financial support from ALIDé for the second time to help bolster their activities.

Clémentine, age 44, is married to a man named Philippe, and they have five dependent children who all go to school. Clémentine herself never received any formal schooling, but she did learn to sew.

Clémentine lives with her husband and their children, and the couple provide together for their household. To that end, in addition to being a seamstress for some 15 years, Clémentine sells sewing notions and ready-to-wear clothing from her home. She also sells shoes. She buys her stock and supplies at a market in Benin.

To better meet customer demand, and to bolster her sales and revenue, Clémentine is seeking a second loan from ALIDé together with the other members of the group MAHOUDJLO. The first loan was correctly repaid.

In this group: Clémentine, Mahoudjro Agnès, Marthe Dohoué
