A loan of $1,750 helped a member to buy more phone card credits and fruits.

Onua Do Group's story

All the five women of the Onua Do (There is love in Togetherness) Group are on average, 34 years old, and live in Teshie-Accra, Ghana. They know one another through neighborhood and business connections. The women sell high quality clothing, charcoal, second-hand clothing, phone card credits, pastries, cassava dough, maize, yam, and chicken.

As the women would all like to increase their working capital, they have decided to work with the field partner, ID-Ghana. This will be their fifth group loan.

Patricia is a well-known retailer of phone card credit and fruits. She plans to use her loan to buy more phone card credit and fruits, wholesale from the main market. She will resell them on the pavement at Teshie to customers.

Patricia expects to make a good monthly profit, which she will use to reinvest in her business and provide for some of the needs of her household. She is married and has one child.
