A loan of $400 helped a member to buy fertilizers and gasoline for his farmland.

Visal's Group's story

Visal is a 24-year-old, father of one baby daughter living in a rural village of the Moung Russey district, Cambodia. To make a living, he and his wife have been farming rice and working for others for a fee for the past two years. The current business earns him about 36,000 KHR per day. This is the first micro-loan for Visal’s group with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now leading his group to apply for a loan, Visal, who is the leader, will use his portion to buy fertilizers and gasoline for his farmland. He hopes that this loan will enable him to earn more income so as to make a better living.
