Suru Lere Group's story

Suru Lere is a group of five people, who all belong to the same group investment scheme. The leader of the group, Mouffouliatou (who has her hand raised in the photo) is 56 years old and married to a man called Christophe. They have three dependent children, one of whom is their own child. Mouffouliatou lives with her husband and her children. They share the various expenses relative to the children. Mouffouliatou went to school very little. She has been running a business selling cashew nuts by the distribution system for about 30 years; which enables her to contribute to the different household necessities. Mouffouliatou buys her stock at a market in Benin. Hoping to satisfy the demand of her clientele, Mouffouliatou and the other members of the SURU LERE group, request a loan.
