Oumy's Group's story

This group of thirty women belongs to the village finance group created on October 24th, 2012. This is their fourth loan cycle. The group is composed of women living in one village and its area. The women get along very well. Their businesses are retail and animal husbandry.

Aissatou, the group’s star borrower, is standing in the picture and raised her hand to stand out. She is 29 years old. She is married and a mother of four, including three boys. She plans to continue her food business, selling meals at weekly markets in the area.

With the loan, she will purchase two bags of rice costing 12,500 XOF, five kilos of onions at 350 XOF per kilo, five liters of oil at 4,500 XOF each, vinegar, black pepper, stock, and hot pepper. She also purchases various other food products depending on her business needs. She sells each meal for 500 XOF.
